FAQ’s

Q. Can I post the racket to you?
A. Yes you can, please send all rackets to 5 Bridge Street, Bishop’s Stortford, Herts, CM23 2JU.  If you can drop me an email or call me on 07752 371344 to say you are sending your racket, I can then expect a delivery to arrive, if you want me to send your racket back to you then you will have to pay for the returned postage cost – please call for different methods of delivery.

Q. How else can I collect my racket?
A. If you live around Bishops Stortford, you can come to the above address to collect your racket, alternatively I play at the Bishops Stortford Badminton club (www.stortfordbadminton.net) on a Monday night at Birchwood School (Birchwood High School, Parsonage Lane, Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, CM23 5BD) from 8pm – 10pm

Q. What is your normal turn around time?
A. We aim to restring your racket within 7 days, if unforeseeable circumstances prevents us from doing this then we will let you know in advance.

Q. What if my racket breaks whilst being restrung?
A. Before a racket goes into the workshop for restringing we will carry out a full inspection of the frame to check for any previous damage and make sure it can support the requested tension. If we believe the racket will not cope with the desired tension we will advise you straight away before carrying out the restring. On the extremely rare occasion that a frame does break whilst being restrung we do not accept any responsibility for the damage. Rackets are restrung at the clients own risk.

Q. How often should I have my racket restrung?
A. Mr Stringer recommends:

  • 1. Have your racket restrung after every 40 hours of play.
  • 2. Have your racket restrung depending on how often you play.
